Another plant full of antioxidants that help to protect your skin from harmful UV radiation from the sun. It even helps to prevent skin cancer! It is shown to decrease cortisol levels (the hormone produced by your body when you are stressed) and thus prevents the damage done to your skin by stress.
Studies show that turmeric speeds up the healing process of skin. This includes swelling, bruising, and wounds. The fatty acids in turmeric can keep skin oils in check. It has also been shown to effectively treat conic skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.
Improves blood flow to the surface of the skin which helps the skin to retain moisture, this in turn helps to prevent dry skin. It is an antifungal, an antioxidant, and anti-bacterial, all things which makes it useful in healing acne and eczema.
